…Spring? Is that you?

What a great weekend!

We had beautiful weather each day, and it’s continuing for most of the week! Sunday was the nicest though. We hit 78F (26C!). WooT!

Driving around I noticed that the cherry trees are in full bloom, and saw new leaves on a couple of trees. It’s probably far to early to see any real spring changes, but it was nice to have a reminder that it’s around the corner.

It was so nice out Sunday morning that I finally did what I had been putting off for ages. I brought the bike out of the garage, and with Catherine’s help, we scrubbed it down. I hadn’t washed it in ages so it was really filthy. I’m not a big fan of washing my bike, I’d rather be riding it, but with Catherine’s help it went quickly and now the bike looks great again.

Once that was finished we tossed El’ Pooch-o in the truck, drove over to Catherine’s sisters place and picked up Caya, one of Catherine’s favorite hooligans and headed off to a park nearby that has an off leash area for dogs. The dog area was kind of crappy, small and a bit ghetto, but the park was nice. It had a tiny lake stocked with trout to stroll around and a playground for Caya to play in. With the sun beating down, people bar-b-queuing and fishing, and the warm breeze, it sure felt like spring.

Eventually we headed back home. Catherine made dinner while Caya and Hoshi played in the front yard. Hoshi had just gotten shaved and Caya had a new haircut so I took a picture of the two of them with their fancy new do’s together. Eventually they came in and we finished the evening off by watching the Spongebob movie.

Not a bad Sunday at all.
